DLC3000 Series digital level controllers
have been designed to provide accurate response to small process changes. High-gain
analog-to-digital conversion enables measurement of small changes in the process
variable. This allows DLC3000 Series digital level controllers to be used in
difficult liquid level, interface, and density applications. In addition, an input
filter and output damping eliminate displacer-induced ripple in the output signal due to
liquid turbulence. |
 |
An internal temperature sensor built into
each device ensures that ambient temperature changes do not affect the performance of the
digital level controller. This keeps accuracy and reliability at its peak
performance. Additionally, the instrument has the capability of incorporating an
external signal from an RTD or via HART® protocol to compensate for process temperature
effects. This allows DLC3000 Series instruments to automatically correct for changes
in liquid specific gravity due to temperature.

Once the instrument is properly
calibrated, re-ranging the span is simple. The 4-20 mA output signal can be ranged
anywhere within the displacer length with no physical manipulation required. This provides
application flexibility without the need for complicated and time consuming recalibration
procedures. |
