Emerson Announces 15% Discount on Rosemount Analytical Process Gas Chromatographs Replacing GCX
New enhancements to the Model 700 Process Gas Chromatograph make it a perfect replacement for GCX
 |
SOLON, OH (October 1, 2005) -- Effective immediately, the GCX Process Gas Chromatograph is placed on inactive status and
withdrawn from sale in all world areas. Applications should now use the Model 700 Process Gas Chromatograph (or Model 500
or Model 1000 as applicable).
When the GCX Process Gas Chromatograph was introduced, it helped set the standard for Process Gas Chromatograph analysis
using a transmitter-style design with installations that span the globe. However, with the successful release of our next
generation platform, the Model 700 Process Gas Chromatograph, customers have been migrating to it as their preferred process
gas chromatograph solution. With over 300 units in the field, the Model 700 has quickly developed a reputation for delivering
outstanding performance over wide ambient ranges as well as having robust and reliable hardware that is easy to service due to
accessibility of all the components.
Of course, we will be supporting the service and spare parts of the GCX for a total of seven (7) years from this date
(5 years spare parts plus 2 years board level repair). It should be noted that we will make our best efforts to perform
electronic board repairs and supply spare parts but there may be instances where lack of availability of subcomponents prevents
that from occurring.
To encourage our GCX customers to trade-in their old GCX analyzers, we are offering a special 15% discount off the list price
of any new gas chromatograph (Model 500, 700 or 1000) that replaces a GCX operating in the field. The existing GCX must be returned
to your Rosemount sales representative after installation of the new GC. |
