AMS Device Manager online registration
You can register your AMS Device Manager system via the
Internet! Experience the convenience, around-the-clock
availability and immediacy of this new web service the next time you
require AMS Device Manager software license codes. In addition
to first-time registration, the site is available to obtain copies
of current license codes or to acquire new codes, which are needed
when you relocate AMS Device Manager software or upgrade your AMS
Device Manager system. The AMS Device Manager web registration
site is at:
http://www.emersonprocess.com/Systems/support/ams_register/10.C.Survey.Login.asp
To use the site, you will need:
- The 12 digit system identification number, printed on your AMS Device
Manager software product certificate
- The 8 character disk volume serial number of the computer
hosting the AMS Device Manager application (see below for
obtaining the disk serial number)
- Other basic company and contact information
(AMS Device Manager does not need to be installed on the same
computer used for web registration.)
This new web registration capability does not replace the existing
fax or e-mail standard registration capabilities. It is
another continual enhancement designed to make your AMS Device
Manager experience as friendly as possible. Look for
enhancements to the AMS Device Manager License Wizard in an upcoming
release to make web registration even more convenient.
If you have any questions or experience problems with the
registration process, please contact Technical Support or your
Emerson Process Management representative.
The disk volume serial number can be obtained by either:
- Printing or viewing the registration form at the end of the
wizard
- Going to the Windows Command Prompt (CMD.exe or
Command.exe) and entering Vol at the C:\prompt. The
serial number is displayed on the second line and contains eight
alpha / numeric characters.

AMS Device Manager software is through the AMS Device Manager
self-paced training. Training is based on real-world tasks that AMS
Device Manager users encounter on the job. It's quick. It can be
done at your facility, on your schedule, and it's effective.
Classroom training is available at the factory and other
Emerson Training sites as well as on-site at your facility.
Alternately, the three self-paced training modules are available for
purchase and immediate delivery. Each is designed to be a
self-contained learning experience. The modules can be ordered
