Lean Manager

Daniel Measurement and Control, Inc., a division of Emerson Process Management, is currently looking for a Lean Manager. We are looking for a innovative, successful forward thinking manager who is looking to lead a top-performing team to new levels of success by leveraging leadership ability and process improvement excellence (LEAN manufacturing, Six Sigma in particular). 

The Lean Manager will be the leader for driving continuous improvement of the throughout the entire organization.  Responsibilities include primary accountability for driving continuous improvement to resolve manufacturing issues, reduce costs and improve quality using Lean Six Sigma Tools, sound engineering application and philosophies; identifying, tracking, resolving, and communicating top manufacturing issues affecting facility metric performance while continuously applying Six Sigma approach to statistically define and resolve problems; oversight of Kaizen events & training sessions; applying lean manufacturing techniques to continuously improve cycle times and process flows; and responsible for maintaining and improving engineering SOP’s to improve efficiencies and reduce cycle time in everything we do.

Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering

Minimum of five (5) years experience in a Lean Manufacturing Engineering work environment and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing concepts,  and KanBan system.  Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills, as well as presentation, organizational and management skills.  Six Sigma and Lean experience required and the ability to understand and adapt Lean philosophies with regard to operations and continuous improvement.  Previous applied knowledge / experience of Six Sigma including completed projects.
