Lean
Manufacturing Engineer
Daniel Measurement
and Control, Inc., a division of Emerson Process Management, is
currently looking for a Lean Manufacturing Engineer. The incumbent will
be responsible for all aspects of process improvements and quality
improvements with focus on reduction of cycle times, quality
improvements, cost reductions, and accuracy of documentation and
drawings. Design of manufacturing
processes, deployment, and training.
Duties:
The essential duties of the Lean Manufacturing Engineer are:

Creation and maintenance of
documentation covering manufacturing processes and procedures,
equipment operation, & Lean programs.

Oversite of physical inventory
controls (KanBan)
-
Overall coordination of labor cost
estimates, SOPs, labor standards and plant layout.

Production problem solving
-
Drive improved Partner and Associate
understanding of all relevant facets of Lean principles.
-
Manage the implementation of
integrated continuous improvement programs and six sigma training
-
Ability to lead Kaizen events and
classroom training sessions with all levels of the organization
-
Identify improvement opportunities,
develop project proposals, and lead or participate in improvement
projects
-
Create training documentation
through the use of MS Office and other software applications.

Prepare capital appropriation /
justification requests for production and implement when approved
-
Develop and maintain methods and
standards for all production processes
-
Monitor exception reports for
production and perform process audits as required or when requested
-
Track metrics, analyze processes and
data, maintain documentation and programs, and educate (where
appropriate).

Identify and implement cost
reduction opportunities
-
Execute labor cost estimates as
required
-
Monitor production metrics and take
appropriate CI action
Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical
Engineering or Industrial Engineering
-
Minimum of five years experience in
a Lean Manufacturing Engineering work environment

Basic understanding of Lean
Manufacturing concepts & KanBan system
-
Proficiency in AutoCad
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Programs
-
Excellent problem solving skills
-
Excellent organizational skills
-
Excellent verbal and written
communications skills

Ability to lead Kaizen
events and classroom training sessions with all levels of the
organization.
