Transformer Operation and Maintenance

Overview

 
This 3-day course is designed to teach the
student how to prepare for and perform
preventive maintenance and test procedures including theory, construction, troubleshooting, and basic repairs. Each participant performs transformer inspection and testing
procedures. This training program will enable personnel to:

  • understand construction and operation
    of distribution transformers
  • perform NETA and NFPA 70B recommend- ed maintenance on distribution
    transformers
  • reduce maintenance costs
  • gain confidence through hands-on training
