Dynamics for Managers Course: # 9033 - CEU's: 0.7 |
| Overview
A high-level awareness creation seminar on process industry plant optimization dealing with process variability, plant reliability, and product uniformity. The course builds a big-picture perspective of plant optimization via process control. The course was initially designed for industry executives and operations managers as a vehicle to clarify process variability issues identify plant optimization opportunities and facilitate organizational team building for plant optimization. This course is two half day sessions, and based on 20 years of experience gained by EnTech in optimizing process operations by reducing the affects of process variability on the operating efficiency of continuous process plants, where variability impacts both plant reliability and efficiency. The concepts apply to all plants where fluids or energy flow. The course addresses process variability -- where it comes from, where it goes in the plant and what can be done about it through process control, process design or other steps. Both the process control and process design disciplines are needed to improve the operation. Lectures are combined with interactive simulation-based demonstrations to illustrate affects & solidify understanding.
