This course is intended for process, measurement and control engineers, sales engineers and buyers of instrumentation and systems, managers in process industry who are responsible for the use of FieldVue digital valve controllers (model DVC5000) and of course all who want to learn about this topic.

This two-day course covers the application and use of FIELDVUE instrumentation in combination with HART handheld terminal and ValveLink host system. The operation, configuration, calibration and construction of the instrument will also be covered. Diagnostic functions will be covered using ValveLink software. At the end of this course you will be able to:

• Explain the operation of FieldVue digital valve controller
  
• Mount configure and calibrate FieldVue with the use of various tools
  
• Apply the technical features of FieldVue correctly
  
• Use the Hart capabilities for a digital valve controller in a process environment
  
• Apply diagnostics on the control valve using ValveLink software

Module 1: Theory and fundamental terminology
Module 2: Installation and adjustments
Module 3: Diagnostics and calibration

Prerequisites

To attend this course it is recommendable to have general process and control valve knowledge and a working experience of Windows.
