Digital Field Devices
Course: #  2323

Overview

This course is intended for process, measurement and control engineers, sales engineers and buyers of instrumentation and systems, managers in process industry who are responsible for the selection and use of smart transmitters and of course all who want to learn about this topic.

This two-day course covers the application, selection and use of digital pressure and temperature transmitters. Also will be explained in what way the function and construction of conventional measuring instruments are
changed by the development of digital capabilities.

This course consists of the following three modules:

  • Module 1: Construction and operation of analog and digital measuring instruments
  • Module 2: Smart information and digital communication techniques
  • Module 3: Adjustments and configuration of smart instruments and criteria for selection

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Explain the different measurement techniques for pressure, temperature and flow
  • Select measuring instruments based on their digital capabilities
  • Link the technical properties to the correct applications
  • Apply the learned material to a process environment
