| Overview
This 5-day course is directed primarily to instrument engineers and technicians who will be responsible for the installation and 1st Line Maintenance of PROVOX DCS. By the end of the course delegates will be able to: - Operate the PROVOX system using the PROVUE/OWP console and/or ENVOX terminal
- Handle 1st Line hardware modifications for the
SR90/SRx controllers
- Analyze faults detected during the operations and isolate faults to card level
- Utilize and interpret the ENVOX based diagnostic routines
- Day 1: System Hardware Overview
- Introduction. AC/DC Distribution. Power Supply. Highway diagnostics/Trouble Shooting.
- Day 2: Operator Consoles
- Review day 1. Console Types. Hardware Layout. Diagnostics. Trouble Shooting.
- Day 3: ENVOX Diagnostic
- Review day 2. Data Manipulation. Software/Hardware Fault Diagnostics Routines
- Day 4: Controllers
- Review day 3. Controller Types. I/O Cards, Termination Panels, hardware fault diagnostics.
- Day 5: Preventive Maintenance
- Review day 4. Preventive Maintenance Tasks Handling. Documentation. Evaluation.

Prerequisites Course 5170, Basic Configuration of PROVOX DCS Topics
- The Course is divided into four parts
1. System Hardware Overview. 2. Consoles. 3. ENVOX/PROFLEX Based on Diagnostic Routines. 4. Controllers, diagnostic routines 5. Preventive Maintenance
- Each day will be divided into 2 theoretical and 2 practical parts. During the practical part the
delegates will apply the theory on a boiler control model. Apart from these workshops, it is also possible for the delegates to submit their own configuration in advance, which can be discussed and/or worked on during the course.
The number of participants will be limited to two
persons per console to ensure sufficient practical work for all concerned. Cost: Call to discuss
