This course is for operators, supervisors and managers responsible for the operation of
continuous processes using DeltaV.

This 2-½ day course uses lectures and hands-on workshops to provide an in-depth overview of the DeltaV Operator Interface. Students who complete this course will be able to:

• Access operator displays
• Manipulate various control module operating parameters to operate the process
• Respond to process alarms
• Monitor process performance and optimize control system responses to process dynamics
• View real time and historical trend data
  

Prerequisites

Windows ’95 or Windows NT experience

• System Overview
• Accessing DeltaV Operator Interface Window, menu Displays and Directories
• Discrete and Analog Control Module Operation
• Motor Control Module Operation
• Regulatory and Cascade Control module Operation, Controller modes
• Accessing Alarm Displays and Alarm Handling
• Accessing Real-time and Historical Trending Data
• Sequential Function Chart operation
• Phase Logic Module operation

Each day will be divided into theoretical and practical parts.
