Overview

 

This course is designed for those responsible for hardware and troubleshooting the DeltaV Control Network, Controllers, I/O- subsystem and Workstation interface.

The 3-½ days course covers the hardware components that make up the DeltaV system. With a combination of lecture and workshops the student will assemble the system, power up the
Controller, I/O subsystem and workstation. The student will learn how to use the diagnostics tools available to verify any fault conditions that are hardware related. By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • describe the hardware of the system
  • start up the system
  • install and commission the controller- and I/O- cards
  • run diagnostics to check system performance

Prerequisites

Windows ’95 or Windows NT experience
