Overview

 

This course is for practising engineers and/or maintenance technicians who are involved in specifying or maintaining regulators.

This 2 day course is intended for application engineers or maintenance technicians responsible for the installation and maintenence of regulators and relief valves. The course covers the use of regulators, control valves, and associated instrumentation and includes lectures, discussions, videos and demonstrations with hands-on opportunities. Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:

  • understand the difference between self and pilot operated regulators
  • select and apply regulators, controllers and related accessories
  • size valves when necessary for gas flow applications
  • perform maintenance on regulators and relief valves
  • troubleshoot field problems

Prerequisites

Background experience in control valves and/or regulators is recommended.
