This course is for process control engineers, maintenance technicians and supervisory personnel responsible for all aspects of control valve specification, calibration, and maintenance. Alternatively (a) those considering the purchase, or (b) those who have just purchased FIELDVUE and/or VALVELINK™.

This 1 day course is for Technicians, Engineers and others new to Digital Valve Controllers, software and related technology. This lecture style course provides maximum class time with hands-on experience working with FIELDVUE. The use of VALVELINK™ software and the 275 Handheld Communicator, also configuration, and calibration of the Digital Valve Controller is featured. Students who successfully complete this course should be able to:

• Understand the new features and benefits associated with FIELDVUE instrumentation
• Appreciate the calibration, and configuration procedures using VALVELINK™ software and the 275
  

Prerequisites

A knowledge of Microsoft Windows™ and general knowledge of instrument calibration.

• Introduction to FIELDVUE Instruments
• DVC 5010 Installation for sliding stem valves
• DVC 5020 Installation for rotary valves
• Use of VALVELINK software for above, and 275 Handheld Communicators
