IOWA (June 2, 2003)-- Emerson Process Management has introduced the new Fisher®
Design D4 control valve, a compact, rugged globe valve designed for
high-pressure throttling applications in the oil and gas production
industry. The Design D4 valve is a contemporary replacement for the Fisher
D body and Type 357 oilfield valves.
The
Design D4 valve is available with pressure ratings to ANSI Class 1500 in
1" and 2" sizes, and has flanged or screwed end connections.
With its ENVIRO-SEAL® packing technology, the D4 valve offers a long stem
seal life. Rugged construction details like heavy-duty valve plug guiding
and optional ST (super-tough) Carbide™ trim provide a long service life.
Fisher ST Carbide trim is designed specifically for severe service
applications. Two additional trim options allow users to configure the D4
for sweet or sour applications.
Easy-maintenance
features include quick-change trim and hammer nut bonnet/body joint. A patented
hammer union serves as a safety feature.
The
Design D4 valve is Emerson’s newest addition to the family of Fisher of
oil and gas control equipment. Emerson meets the needs of those involved
in the oil and gas industry with three recent Fisher product
introductions: the Design D4 valve for throttling control applications;
the Type D2 FloPro™ control valve for on-off dump applications; and the
Type L2 liquid level controller for high pressure liquid level
applications.
