Fisher Controls Celebrates 120 Years In Business
Fisher Controls International LLC
is in its 120th year of operation, having been founded by
William Fisher in 1880 with the manufacture of the companys Type 1 pump governor.
The company, which today produces thousands of products for use in the power, chemical,
refining and pulp and paper industries, is the worlds leading supplier of process
control valves, instrumentation and services.
Commenting on the
120th anniversary, company president Terry Buzbee stated, "Few companies
today would be able to celebrate 120 years of continuous prosperity. The fact that we can

Buzbee further
acknowledged the Fisher employees contributions to the company by saying, "This
is an achievement that Fisher will celebrate around the world, since our employees are the
ones who deserve the credit for making Fisher a truly global company"
Fisher sites
within North America that are scheduled to hold employee celebrations include
manufacturing facilities in Marshalltown, Iowa, in Sherman and McKinney, Texas and in
North Stonington, Connecticut. Several Fisher world area locations have planned
commemorative events as well.
