WhisperFlo™ Diffuser Combats Excessive Noise in Process Vent Applications

quieting gas or steam vent-to-atmosphere applications. Designated the WhisperFlo Vent
Diffuser, the new design helps achieve up to a 40 dBA reduction in the noise level at the
diffuser exterior. The WhisperFlo diffuser incorporates the same aerodynamic noise abatement technology as Fisher’s widely applied WhisperFlo Trim for control valves. It achieves a reduction in vent noise by employing five, key noise control techniques:
The innovative WhisperFlo vent diffuser utilizes laser-machined discs that are stacked and permanently fused into a rigid cage assembly. The unique design and operating features of WhisperFlo trim, combined with the design flexibility provided by laser-based manufacturing, bring new answers to excessive vent noise, especially for those applications involving high pressure drops and high flow rates. With the introduction of the WhisperFlo vent diffuser, Fisher addresses noise problems often associated with vent-to-atmosphere applications.
