FIELDVUE®
DVC6000f Series digital valve controllers are communicating, microprocessor-based
current-to-pneumatic instruments. Three important functions are performed by the DVC6000f
Series instrument:
Controlling the
movement of a valve stem or shaft
by converting the digital input signal from the process controller to a pneumatic output
signal to the actuator.
Automatic calibration and configuration
utilizing the power of microprocessor technology.
Communication capability via the FOUNDATION™
fieldbus protocol to provide instrument and valve diagnostic information.
Registered by the Fieldbus
Foundation, the DVC6000f
Series has revolutionized the industry. This next generation FIELDVUE Instrument
utilizes the same technology as the HART® based unit while offering an all-digital
FOUNDATION fieldbus open communication protocol.
Furthermore, when installed in an
Emerson Process Management PlantWeb® system, the instrument will
continually run valve diagnostics on board. If and when problems are detected, information
can be directed to the
appropriate personnel - automatically. |
