FlowScanner™ Diagnostic Services Executive Summary

Your Facility – Your Town

Fisher Controls is pleased to have had the opportunity to provide "Your Facility" with FlowScanner® Diagnostic services at Your Town.  This Executive Summary is intended to summarize the service and present our findings in a clear, concise and readable fashion.

The sections to follow:

  • Summarize the tests that were performed

  • Identify the valves that require a major overhaul

  • Identify the valves that require minor adjustments

  • Identify key findings uncovered during the testing process

  • Provide recommendations to optimize performance

  • Provide a cost summary of the service provided

Test Summary

The test duration was 2 days during which time twenty-five valves were tested.  The actual FlowScanner time logged during that period was 24 hours, or, on average 1.33 hours per valve.  An additional 12 hrs was logged in preparation of this report.  Additional misc. time (travel, training, etc.) was logged separately.

A minimum of two tests were performed on each valve.  These tests consisted of (1) a "Dynamic Scan" test, which provides insight to the performance integrity of the valve, actuator, and associated instrumentation and (2) a "Step Study" test that shows the response of the valve.  A spreadsheet summary of the analysis results can be found in Tab II.   Following is a pie chart designating a "Summary of Action Items".  Major Action referring that the valve, actuator, or positioner must be repaired or replaced.   Minor Action being simple adjustments made to the valve and/or accessories.
