Imagine using
one software platform to monitor your boiler temperature in the power plant,
check the calibration of the mass flow sensor in the process line, and run a
diagnostic check on a control valve. Using the AMS ValveLink SNAP-ON you can now perform all this on the same software platform. You do not
have to start a separate application for each specific instrument. AMS
ValveLink SNAP-ON brings you the capability to perform valve specific functions, including
valve diagnostics with the FIELDVUE digital valve controllers.
The AMS ValveLink SNAP-ON gives you
many of the same functions and capabilities provided by the stand-alone VL2000 Series
ValveLink software, plus it can be used on all your HART® based field devices.
Just as with ValveLink Solo, the AMS ValveLink SNAP-ON provides
an easy-to-use environment that lets you configure, calibrate, and diagnose the operating
characteristics of FIELDVUE instruments.
Using AMS
ValveLink SNAP-ON, an instrument engineer,
maintenance technician, or operations supervisor can determine the status of any HART
device in order to spot problems before they affect the process. The
AMS ValveLink SNAP-ON also provides advanced diagnostic capabilities that permit you to
select only those control valves that need to be rebuilt during plant
turnarounds.
By being able to check on a valves
current performance versus its performance when new, you can determine the optimal time to
schedule the valve for maintenance. This helps reduce costly failures which directly
affect the plant bottom line profits.
