AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 25, 2007) – Emerson Process Management demonstrated during INTERPHEX how to reduce risks and featured products from the vast portfolio of Emerson measurement, analytical and control solutions for Life Sciences. INTERPHEX 2007 took place April 24-26, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, NY.

Emerson demonstrated how to build the Plant of the Future using their proven approach for reducing project risk and ensuring a fully integrated data architecture, while lowering total cost of installation. The future plant features Emerson's PlantWeb® digital plant architecture and world-class project execution tools which offer integration of devices for easy DCS configuration, streamlined migration, and customized training. Finally, efficient manufacturing requires precise synchronization between batch execution, work instructions, approvals, people, materials and equipment-all automatically created and managed in a tightly integrated system with a single batch record as offered by Emerson.

Emerson also demonstrated how to reduce industry risk, manufacturing cycle time and cost while ensuring complete, error-free electronic batch records for timely product release with their innovative Compliance Suite.

Reducing risk in improving operations was shown to be easy with Emerson's OpX Advantage Program. The program combines Emerson's 30-plus years of Life Sciences consulting and engineering, its innovative product solutions, and PlantWeb digital automation technology with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing business process improvement methodologies. The program leverages the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) recent guidelines on cGMPs for the 21st century and helps manufacturers achieve operational efficiency and increased process understanding through the implementation of innovative pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, and quality assurance projects.

Emerson showed off its latest automation products, technologies and solutions for the Life Sciences industry with live demonstrations, including PlantWeb digital plant architecture, Emerson's AMS™ Suite: Intelligent Device Manager, PlantWeb University, Rosemount® pressure, temperature, level and flow instrumentation, Rosemount® Analytical sensors, Micro Motion® Coriolis flowmeters, El-O-Matic FieldQ® pneumatic actuators, Brooks® flow measurement and flow control instruments, and Baumann™ sanitary control valves equipped with the Fisher® FIELDVUE® digital valve controller.
