BOULDER, COLORADO (August 28, 2007) – Emerson Process Management further expands its Micro Motion® hygienic offering with the introduction of a highly-valued 15 Ra electro-polished surface finish on the full range of T-Series straight-tube Coriolis meters. With its self-draining and cleanable design, the Micro Motion T-Series with smooth 15 Ra wetted surface finish is ideal for accurate measurement in pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and other hygienic applications.

The Micro Motion T-Series Coriolis range offers direct mass flow, volume flow, density, and temperature measurement in a straight-tube design, with a full bore diameter that matches the diameter of standard tubing for optimum system drainability. Perfect for applications requiring drainable and cleanable measurement for flow rates up to 3,200 lb/min (87,100 kg/h), the T-Series features titanium wetted parts for excellent corrosion resistance.

Micro Motion T-Series meters are designed to meet strict Sanitary Standards and are certified by the European Hygienic Equipment Design Group (EHEDG) and 3-A authorized. They are constructed according to strict ASME guidelines for bio-processing equipment.

This solution expands the power of Emerson's PlantWeb® digital architecture and, using Micro Motion MVD™ technology, the T-Series Coriolis meter delivers mass flow accuracy up to ±0.15% and volume flow accuracy up to ±0.25% on liquids and liquid density accuracy up to ±0.002 g/cc. With no moving parts to wear out or break down, no intrusive parts, and with no special flow or piping requirements, Micro Motion T-Series meters offer an outstanding, overall hygienic metering solution.
