Emerson to Open New European Flow Service Center for Process Measurement Customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa
BOULDER, COLO. (June 29, 2006) -- In October, Emerson Process Management will commence operations at a
new flow service center for customers of Micro Motion®, Rosemount® Flow, and Brooks Instrument measurement
products. Expanding from the success of Emerson’s existing European flow centers that have been supporting
customers for over 40 years, the new service center will be a central resource for the flow measurement
capability of Emerson throughout Europe.
“The European production, engineering, and calibration operations play a major role in our
worldwide customer support,” commented Andy Dudiak, vice president of Emerson’s Process Flow
business. “With the most comprehensive center of its type in Europe, our customers will
benefit from a wide range of Emerson’s flow measurement capabilities, all brought together
in one customer-focused facility, close to their plants and facilities. The investment in
these operations illustrates Emerson’s commitment to customer service and support in Europe.”
Located between the towns of Arnhem and Utrecht in the Netherlands, the impressive facility
consists of over 9.000 sq.m of floor space, and will house flow device manufacturing, calibration
and training facilities, as well as over 200 multi-lingual sales and support staff.
The new training facilities will enable an increase in the number of courses and hands-on
training that will be available to customer engineers and operators. In addition, a new demonstration
area and a factory acceptance test area will be provided for customer inspections and witnessed testing.
A major function of the Flow Service Center will be to offer fully traceable state-of-the-art calibration
facilities, with six different test areas for different products and flow ranges. Coriolis, magmeter, vortex,
thermal mass flow, and variable area meters will be tested and calibrated at this site. A special “white room”
for assembly and test of the Brooks flowmeters in sterile conditions will also be included.
Localizing its global service and support, Emerson has similar facilities around the world.
These are located in Chelyabinsk (Russia); Singapore; Pudong (China); Sorocarbo (Brazil); and in USA
locations Boulder, Colorado; Eden Prairie, Minnesota; and Hatfield, Pennsylvania.
