DESCRIPTION
The X-STREAM® series of gas analyzers features multi-channel analysis utilizing infrared, ultraviolet and visible (NDIR/UV/VIS) photometry, paramagnetic and electro-chemical oxygen, and thermal conductivity sensor technologies.

X-STREAM analyzers can measure up to 4 components and the measuring principles may be ordered in various combinations. The physical benches can be installed in their own compartment separated from the electronics. A purge is added for handling corrosive and toxic gases to protect the electronics and to provide operator safety.Optional thermostatic control enables measuring lower sample gas concentrations and measurements at higher dew points.

The instrument has an alphanumeric display protected by impact-tested safety glass and is operated manually by 6 keys without the need to open the enclosure. Clear text messages (available in 5 languages) and front panel LEDs provide information about the measurement and analyzer status.

X-STREAM analyzers, equipped with an internal wide range power supply for all world areas, offer analog outputs, 4 status signal relay outputs (according to NAMUR NE 107) and Modbus communication over an Ethernet or serial interface. Digital inputs and relay outputs are optionally available.

The NEMA 4X/IP66 design allows operation in harsh industrial environments.

An ATEX, CSA-C/US and IECEx approved non-incendive solution allows measuring non-flammable gases in Zone 2/Div. 2 applications without additional safety measures such as pressurization systems.

An ATEX certified pressurization system enables measuring non-flammable gases in Zone 2 hazardous areas. The pressurization system consists of a microprocessor unit controlling a solenoid gas inlet valve. The Zone 2 system requires a separate power supply for the controller. The pressurization unit provides two programmable alarm contacts.

The ATEX certified pressurization system with leakage compensation enables the measurement of non-flammable gases with air as the purge gas.

Supplied with a CSA-C/US approved Z purge pressurization system X-STREAM analyzers can be installed in Div. 2 hazardous areas. Two operation modes are available to allow measuring of non-flammable or flammable gases: Non-flammable gases can be measured with a leakage compensation mode, using air or inert gas as purge gas.

Flammable gases can be measured with either leakage compensation or continuous dilution mode. Leakage compensation requires inert gas, while continuous dilution enables the use of air for pressurization. A pressure switch may be used to activate an alarm in case of pressure loss (limit set to 0.15"). Optional flame arrestors are available on request to avoid flame propagation into the process gas line.

X-STREAM gas analyzers are also available as rack mountable/tabletop (1/2 19" or 19") and flameproof variations: see product data sheets 103-912GC.A01, 103-912GP.A01 and 103-910FD.A01 for detailed information.
