ROCLINKTM Configuration Software.

ROCLINK for Windows and ROCLINK 800 are the latest evolution of configuration software for  Remote Operations Controller and FloBossTM Flow Manager products. With ROCLINK, you can:

  • Configure and view I/O points, flow calculations, PID control loops, system parameters, and power management functions.

  • Set up history data to log and generate EFM history reports.

  • View and print event and alarm logs.

  • Perform five-point calibration on dual and multi-variable sensor inputs, and analog inputs.

  • Implement user security.

  • Create and edit graphical displays that contain live data.

  • Set up communications parameters for direct, radio, telephone, and other communications methods.

  • Create and edit Function Sequence Tables (FSTs).

Features That Benefit You

ROCLINK for Windows and ROCLINK 800 incorporate the features you need for fast, efficient operation. Here are just a few:

Microsoft Windows Environment. Because the software runs under the Windows operating system, ROCLINK shares in the many features available to Windows-based programs.

User-Oriented Terminology. Terminology used in displays is designed for field personnel, thereby reducing training time and promoting better acceptance.

Multiple Product Support. All functions required to configure, tune, and operate our family of ROC and FloBoss are provided, a feature especially useful when these products are used together in the same system.

On-Line Help. Whenever you need assistance performing an action, on-line help information is just a keystroke away.

Easy Data Retrieval. History values, events and alarms, configurations, and Function Sequence Tables can be retrieved from ROC or FloBoss units with a minimum number of keystrokes and clicks.

Selective Information Display. Only information relevant to the device being configured or monitored is displayed.

Friendly User Interface

A Windows Explorer-style menu tree makes navigating among the key functions provided by the software quick and easy. Drop-down menus simplify accessing the functions provided by the software. Dialog boxes and drop-down list boxes help to direct selections and data entry. Actions can be performed with the keyboard and a pointing device such as a mouse.

Help screens are accessed either from the Help menu or in a context-sensitive fashion. This feature makes it easy to access information for any ROCLINK topic.

ROCLINK lets you build graphical displays for your ROC or FloBoss units that combine both static and dynamic data elements. The displays can used to monitor the operation of the ROC or FloBoss either locally or remotely.

Flexible Configuration Support

Multiple ROC and FloBoss products can be configured with ROCLINK. This includes configuring meter parameters, flow calculations, I/O points, and PID control loops, to name a few. You can also implement logic and sequencing control through its function sequence table (FST) editor capability.

For our newer products, you can create a configuration file without being connected to the unit, and then download the file once you’re on site. You can also copy the configuration of one unit and download it to another.

Simplified Operations Support

Operators will like the ease with which they can set up meter runs, calibrate inputs, retrieve history data, and generate EFM reports. Simplified retrieval of the historical data reduces the time operators must spend on-site. Extensive on-line, context-sensitive help is provided.

The software also provides multiple levels of security for controlling access to ROCLINK functions, as well as to the ROC or FloBoss database. Making changes to passwords or to the access level for personnel is accomplished through the ROC and Utilities menus, which are available only to an authorized person.

System Requirements

The ROCLINK configuration software runs on most IBM-compatible personal computers (PCs). The PC can be a desktop or a portable computer meeting the following minimum requirements:

  • Pentium-class processor (233 MHz or greater recommended)

  • CD-ROM drive

  • Windows 95B, 98, ME, 2000, NT 4.0, or XP

  • 32 Mb RAM; 64 MB for ROCLINK 800

  • SVGA color monitor, 800 x 600 pixels

  • 10 MB hard disk space; 15 to 75 MB for ROCLINK 800
