Emerson/Flow-Cal® System Provides Powerful, Flexible
Gas Flow Measurement and Reporting
Emerson
Process Management,
the leader in field automation solutions, and Coastal Flow Measurement, Inc., recognized
for their advanced editing, recalculation, and data management software, offer you a
powerful, flexible electronic flow measurement (EFM) and reporting system that's ideal for
natural gas applications. The system teams Emerson's Remote Operations Controller (ROC) and
FloBossTM Flow Manager products with Coastal Flow's Flow-Cal®
software to give
you the tools you need to efficiently and effectively manage your gas flow measurement and
accounting data while keeping your data audit trails intact. The
Emerson/Flow-Cal system
allows you to:
- Manage flow data gathered by ROC and FloBoss units:
Data is extracted from your ROC and FloBoss units with the same software used to configure
the units.
- Review, edit and report gas volume information: You
can electronically import, review, edit, recalculate, report, export, and archive flow
data in a powerful, broad-based, user-friendly environment. Open Database Connectivity
(ODBC) file support gives you extensive query and report capabilities on your data, with
direct export to other database or spreadsheet programs in standard or customized formats.
- Graphically display and manipulate data, including alarm
ranges. You can graphically or textually edit and trend data over a range of six hours
to 35 days. Additional graphical and editing techniques provide you with resources to
validate or recalculate volumes. Report data is in the industry-standard ODBC format.
The system also
provides you with sophisticated analysis tools, such as expert systems routines for
flagging missing data, which meets user specified out-of-range conditions, or data
indicative of flow anomalies. These techniques will make you more productive, while data
analysis becomes much more comprehensive.
The Flow-Cal
software has the look and feel of a windows-based package. It makes extensive use of
pull-down menus, push buttons, and help screens to guide you through its operation. The
graphical user interface is easy to use, and on-line context-sensitive help is just a
keystroke away. Differential, static pressure, temperature, flow rate, and alarm
conditions can all be displayed simultaneously or individually.
