This job will be responsible for procuring material, equipment, operating supplies and service to meet cost, inventory and production output objectives
Job responsibilities will include:
Places orders for materials, equipment, operating supplies and services involving relatively low financial risk.
Selects capable and competitive suppliers with approval of supervisor.
Ensures quality, deliver and costs are consistent with overall management objectives
Applies proper terms and conditions.
Administers purchasing per established purchasing procedure.
May be responsible for material planning/coordination and support of production schedules.
Participates in establishing material contracts consistent with cost, schedule, inventory and quality requirements.
Develops and negotiates long term annual contracts and agreements with approval of supervisor.
Supports company objectives in areas of quality, delivery, inventory and cost goals. Complex assignments are performed under close supervision.
Monitors supplier schedule, quality, and cost performance; identifies problems and recommends solutions to resolve problems.
Recommends alternative processes, suppliers, and materials to minimize cost and ensure delivery and quality requirements are met.
Contributes to the research of materials for new products.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors degree in business, technical or related, A minimum of 0-1 years experience is required.
