Emerson’s Rosemount division, a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision measurement and control instrumentation for the process industries, has an exciting career opportunity as a Pressure Remote Seal Design / Project Design Engineer based at our Chanhassen, MN location.

This Remote Seal Design / Project Design Engineer will support continuation engineering, new product development, and process development projects for our remote-seal pressure measurement product line. This interesting and challenging position deals in the areas of vacuum technology, heat transfer, exotic metal joining methods, handling of high purity fluids, pressure and temperature measurement, and data analysis. Experience in any of these areas is a plus. This is a Chanhassen, MN based position but because of the global nature of our organization and markets, and our focus on Total Customer Satisfaction, limited global travel (<10%) may be required.

Job responsibilities will include:

• Project management for new product development efforts
• Project management for process development and improvement efforts
• Pro-Engineer design with geometrical tolerancing (FEA a plus)
• Employ six-sigma and lean process improvement methods
• Provide engineering support for continuation engineering activities

Qualified candidates must possess a BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. A minimum of 0 to 2 years applicable experience required. Graduate work or advanced degrees may be applied toward experience requirements.
