Emerson’s Rosemount Flow Division, a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision measurement and control instrumentation for the process industries, has an exciting career opportunity as a Supplier Quality Engineer based at our Eden Prairie, MN location.
In the Supplier Quality Engineer role, you will develop and/or provide technical leadership in the development of technologies, products and/or processes to meet cost, schedule and performance goals. This position requires technical expertise, team leadership, strong communication skills, a high level of self-discipline and organization to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Primary job responsibilities will include:
Work closely with other engineers and suppliers to evaluate our design and manufacturing needs against supplier process capability and cost structures.
Apply engineering skills to resolve supplier related issues and non-conformances.
Work closely with the manufacturing and the inspection departments to resolve nonconformance issues.
Lead AQP/Supplier Quality Manual deployment process
Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates must possess a BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited program (mechanical or chemical preferred). A minimum of 5 years applicable experience required. Graduate work or advanced degrees may be applied toward experience requirements. Candidate must be able to independently apply statistical tools, GD&T, and ISO quality systems. Six Sigma and ASQ certification is a plus.
Position requires 15% travel (domestic and international).
