Primary Responsibilities

Emerson Process Management is the world’s leading automation supplier. Emerson’s Rosemount division, a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision measurement and control instrumentation for the process industries, has an exciting career opportunity as a Import Export Compliance Administrator, based at our Chanhassen, MN location.

The Import Export Compliance Administrator position is responsible for assisting to ensure Rosemount’s compliance to all applicable U.S. import and export laws and regulations. This person will join a three person compliance team and will interface with internal areas on all matters pertaining to import and export compliance. This person must have high degree of knowledge of all areas of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and various U.S. Customs regulations.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • ECCN and HTS classification of Rosemount products, and components, equipment, software and technology.
  • Conduct post entry audits of import files; classification, valuation, etc.
  • Perform import and export audits of internal departments, and issue internal corrective actions when required.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and overseas subsidiaries to resolve compliance issues when necessary.
  • Assist in obtaining export licensing and ensuring that export license requirements are met.
  • Assist in the development of compliance related procedures and work instructions.
Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates must possess an appropriate BS degree in Business, or related technical. A minimum of 2 years applicable experience required. Strong understanding of the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and HTSUS. Graduate work or advanced degrees may be applied toward experience requirements.
