AMS Device Descriptor Update
The file "2604.exe" is a
self-extracting zip file that contains the AMS
installation kit for the Rosemount 8732 rev 7 and the
Rosemount 8712 rev 10 Flowmeters.
The file
"8712D_Rev1_DD2_AMS60_65.exe" is a
self-extracting zip file that contains the AMS
installation kit for the Rosemount 8712D Rev 1 Flowmeter.
After you have downloaded the file
you need, use the following instructions to install the
Device Descriptor Update:
Run the application "2604.exe" or
"8712D_Rev1_DD2_AMS60_65.exe."
Keep the default unzip path at
"c:\temp"
Click the "Unzip" button
From the Start/Programs/AMS menu,
run the "Add Device Type Manually" application
Click "OK" when presented with
the warning
Click "Next" on the welcome
screen
Click "Browse" to select the
path
Find the "C:\Temp" folder, and
click "OK"
Click "Next" (or "Finish" when it
comes up) until the devices begin installing.
Click "OK" on the completion
message
At this point the devices will be
successfully installed.
