Hydrostatic Tank Gauging (HTG) is a
pressure-based tank gauging system that uses a combination of pressure and temperature
measurements. HTG provides a totally automated, multiple measurement system for liquid
inventory measurements. These measurements include mass, density, standard density,
volume, standard volume, level, and temperature.
Highly accurate on-line mass and density measurement capabilities. Mass measurements are
independent of changes in density and temperature.
The Model 3001C Pressure Transmitter is the heart of the HTG System. Based on the proven
sensor technology pioneered by the Model 1151 and the superior performance of the Model
3051C, the Model 3001C provides the primary hydrostatic pressure measurements from which
all HTG system calculations are derived.
The Model 3201 HIU is the microprocessor-based calculation and communications center for
the HTG system that also acts as a local, ground-level display. Each HIU contains the
database for its assigned tank in nonvolatile memory.
