Built-in Physical Properties Database

Included in the 3095 Engineering Assistant is an extensive physical properties database allowing dynamic calculation of density or compressibility, viscosity, and related fluid data for over 110 fluids, shown below. The data is based on information published by American Institute for Chemical Engineers (AIChE). An option also exists for Custom Fluids.

(Additional fluids from AIChE database available on request.)

Steam - ASME

The 3095 dynamically calculates steam density for superheated and saturated steam over the entire operating range. Steam densities are calculated in accordance with ASME steam tables. For saturated steam applications, the 3095 can also be configured for density calculations based on static pressure only (no RTD input).

Natural Gas - A.G.A.  /  ISO

The 3095 calculates natural gas compressibility using either Gross or Detail Characterization Methods. The flow calculations are performed according to 1992 A.G.A. (American Gas Association) Report No. 3, with A.G.A. Report No.8 for the compressibility factor. ISO 12213 Molar Composition and Physical Properties options are also supported.
