successful installation of an Engineering Assistant (EA)

Customer Central at 1-800-999-9307 for upgrade instructions.
Upgrade Procedure
Please note that the upgrade procedure requires running the EAUpgrade.exe
software twice -- the first time removes the old version from your computer,
and the second time installs the new version. You may want to print the
instructions below before starting the installation procedure.
- Extract EAUpgrade.exe from the EAUpgrade_551.zip file using WinZip (link below),
and save the file on your computer hard drive and note file location.
- Click Start, then click Run, then browse to the location where you stored the
EAUpgrade.exe file, or double-click on EAUpgrade.exe using Windows Explorer.
- Click OK to run the software the first time. This step removes the existing
5.0, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, or 5.4 version of the EA SNAP-ON Software from your computer.
You may receive file sharing warnings.
- Click Start to run software the second time, then click Run. Browse to the
location where you stored the EAUpgrade.exe file, or double-click on
EAUpgrade.exe using Windows Explorer.
- Click OK. This step installs the EA Stand-Alone Software version 5.5.1 on your computer.
- If using AMS 6.0 or older, run the Stand-Alone Device Driver (DD) upgrade.
