Pipeline technology was in its infancy when the Shafer Valve Company was founded in 1946. Then, as now, rugged, dependable valve actuators were essential to the safety of pipeline systems. Shafer® continues to be known as the name to turn to for the most critical applications worldwide.

Today Shafer® products serve a variety of markets: oil and natural gas pipelines (including offshore and subsea) and processing facilities; water pumping stations and mining slurry operations. The Shafer® production facility in Mansfield, Ohio, USA earned ISO 9001 certification March 1993.
