CONTINUOUS EMISSIONS MONITORING SYSTEMS (CEMS)

Calpine Corporation's Osprey Energy Center in Western Florida required a unique solution to their CEMS. Space was limited at the site, which necessitated combining a number of electrical systems into a common enclosure.

Two Emerson Process Management divisions joined forces to supply a comprehensive solution. Emerson's Process Solutions and Rosemount Analytical divisions were able to combine their expertise to give Calpine exactly what was needed.

Emerson's Engineering and Fabrication capabilities were combined with Rosemount's Analyzer and Data Acquisition System for this project. In addition to engineering, designing, and fabricating shelters to house the CEMS, we also had to incorporate the MCC's, Teleperm System and associated transformers, distribution panels, and fire suppression systems among other items.

The shelters required measured 33' x 9' x 13' with two rooms. Although we are capable of supplying standard CEMS packages, this project highlights the unique capability of Emerson and our ability to tackle tough applications as well.
