Opportunity Mapping

Mill Opportunity Mapping is a service offering to help clients quickly assess and prioritize automation improvement opportunities.  Survey engagements typically consists of a 1 to 2 day mill walk-through to collect key process data, benchmark, identify improvement opportunities, and estimate economics of process optimization. The deliverable is a concise document that outlines and prioritizes opportunities for return on investment from automation and optimization projects.

Emerson EnTech Services

Well known for variability management in the Pulp & Paper industry, Emerson offers a number of EnTech services to optimize mill performance.

In today's competitive industry, the EnTech Variability Index (EVI) is an effective method to benchmark a paper machine's performance against a database of hundreds of paper machines in the industy.  The EVI analyzes BW variability and provides analysis of five bands from very fast to very slow as well as the cumulative EVI.  For each band and the cumulative, the EVI compares the paper machine against the best, worst, and average to date.
