EMERSON PROCESS MANAGEMENT - RCIC HAS THE FOLLOWING OPPORTUNITY

Refining and Chemical Industry Center Opportunities in Houston, TX

Emerson Process Management's Refining and Chemical Industry Center (RCIC) offers full service engineering consulting that caters to chemical, oil, gas, and refining customers. These services include project management, plant optimization, design and configuration of the DeltaV distributed control system, instrument specification, power design, hot cutover, and more. RCIC has offices in Houston, St. Louis, and Kansas City. The following opportunities are presently available in Houston:

  • Project Managers: Applicants with 5-10 years of experience in managing small to mid-level Process Control projects with 10-15 yrs overall industry experience. Individuals will be responsible for interfacing with Clients, Operations, and discipline engineers on a daily basis. BS Engineering is required. PMP certification is a bonus.


  • Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) Engineers: Applicants with experience in designing and implementing SIS systems. Successful applicants will have intimate knowledge of IEC 61511. BS Engineering is required. Willingness to pursue Certified Functional Safety Engineer (CSFE) exam is a must.


  • Electrical and Instrumentation Engineers: Individuals will be responsible for P&ID reviews, instrument and electrical equipment specification, control system database creation and maintenance, DeltaV hardware and network design. On-site facility work will include field walk-downs for document verification, acceptance testing, and hot cutover. Successful candidate will have 10+ years of controls experience, BSEE required.


  • Electrical Designers: Individuals will be responsible for control system cabinet design, preparation of electrical design documentation including low voltage power distribution, location drawings, schematics, and loop drawings. On-site facility work will include field walk-downs for document verification, commissioning services, and hot cutover. Successful applicants will be proficient in AutoCAD and have a 2 year technical degree. INtools and Microsoft Access experience is a bonus.


  • Process Automation Engineers: Individuals will be responsible for control system software design, leading the implementation and testing efforts, control system check-out with the client, and on-site facility work. The candidate will have 5+ years in Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
