Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is based in Philadelphia, PA. Looking for an individual who has a keen interest in learning new technologies and how to best apply them to deliver results. Will have an opportunity to work with an experienced team of engineers to deliver both package and custom developed application solutions to our clients in the Life Sciences, Food & Beverage and Consumer Products industries. Require someone who can excel in a fast paced and dynamic project execution environment. Delivered solutions include OSI PI products, biometric signatures, web based applications, wireless communication, real-time data collection, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SAP integration, order scheduling, material/warehouse management, and regulatory compliance for FDA validated facilities. Prefer the candidate to have POS application experience as well as design and developing banking applications. Experience leading a software testing team is a plus. Implementing document management solutions for customers, including software installation, testing, data migration, and end-user training.
The candidate should be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills and be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate a desire to be challenged
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows network infrastructure and administration required
- Experience with software development using at least one of these software languages (VB, VB.NET, C# or C++) required; Web Services, .Net , XSLT and XML highly desirable
- Experience with SQL language and relational databases is required, experience with Microsoft SQL 2000 is preferred
- Knowledge of installing and configuring OSI products desired
- Position requires travel from 10-30% dependent upon project assignments
Candidates with plant operation experience and related knowledge who have a strong desire to learn emerging software applications that enhance cutting edge process automation solutions are encouraged to apply. Educational Requirements:
BS in Engineering or Computer Science plus 2 years of related work experience, or MS in Engineering or Computer Science plus 1 year of related work experience.
