Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin, Texas. Relocation assistance is not available.
The successful candidate's responsibilities include developing and running the test plans for the PlantWeb System Integration team. Specific duties include:
- Building automated test systems
- Developing test scripts and configurations
- Running tests
- Evaluating test results
- Working with product development teams to resolve test findings.
Testing scope covers both software implementation and system usability. The PlantWeb System Integration Test group is a new group. The Test Engineer will work as part of a team of experts, gaining and sharing product development knowledge and customer requirements. Applicant will work closely with the Team Lead and the Management team with an opportunity to progress into roles with more responsibilities with the Technology organization.
A minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience with instrumentation systems required. Experience with Foundation Fieldbus, Hart, software test, or DeltaV a plus. A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment a must.
Minimum Education Requirements: BS/MS in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or other engineering degrees with computer science and/or electronics course work or Computer Science with an engineering degree
