Contract Assignment Opportunity: Contract Software Test Engineer

Requirements:
B.S. Engineering or B.S. Computer Science, plus from 4 to 15 years of related experience, required.

The successful candidate's responsibilities include developing and running the test plans for the new PlantWeb System Integration team. Specific duties include:

  • Building automated test systems
  • Developing test scripts and configurations
  • Running tests
  • Evaluating test results
  • Working with product development teams to resolve test findings.

Testing scope covers both software implementation and system usability. The Test Engineer will work as part of a team of experts, gaining and sharing product development knowledge and customer requirements. Applicant will work closely with the Team Lead and the Management team with an opportunity to progress into roles with more responsibilities with the Technology organization.

A minimum of 4 to 15 years of related experience with instrumentation systems required. Experience with Foundation Fieldbus, Hart, software test, or DeltaV is a plus but not required. Good oral and written skills required, with demonstrated ability to clearly and succinctly describe an issue. Ability to work effectively in a team environment is required.

Hours are typically 40 hours per week, with peak periods requiring up to 55 hours per week.

Assignment Duration:
The assignment length is anticipated to be 6 months, with an anticipated extension of 12 months or longer (extension will be based upon business needs at the time and individual's job performance).

None anticipated

Employment agency:
The successful candidate for this temporary assignment at Emerson Process Management will be employed by a preferred staffing services provider for the duration of this assignment.
