Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position may be based in ATL. A minimum of 50% travel is expected, with some international travel, primarily to South America.

This position will provide leadership, support, and coordination for PEMO Business Development Team to assure fulfillment of PS&S Industry HW/SW and project goals. The main responsibility is to work with the Local Business Partners (LBP) to drive the overall business development plan to assure the PEMO business in those territories meet the PS&S goals. Problem solving ability and excellent listening skills are key to success in this position, providing sales support to assure Emerson's Metals and Mining Solutions Capabilities are presented to clients, and then turning that effort into Emerson business / projects.

This position will act as solutions architect to assure communications between LBP sales lead, project management and others required to meet clients business and technical needs. The solution architect will be responsible for leadership in identifying, sizing, integrating, pricing, costing, justifying, presenting and defending total project approach and scope. This position will provide account support and coordination through PS&S Account Management processes for overall account development.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying, Developing, Justifying, Presenting, Closing, the breath of Emerson's Solutions Capabilities with a focus on the Mining and Metals Industry
  2. Assisting in the Development and Implementation of Industry / Account / Project Strategies;
  3. Developing proposals as required to support projects identified by the LBPs;
  4. Representing the breadth of PEMO and Emerson's Solutions Capability and comprehensive Solutions Architecture;
  5. Serving as the PS&S Spokesperson for Specific Accounts;
  6. Developing 3rd Party Relationships as required.
  7. Establish relationships with OEMs providing products and services in the Americas
  8. Excellent Presentation skills required

7+ years total industry / plant experience. Should have a good knowledge of Metals and Mining manufacturing automation industry and the various hardware / software products, service, and integration suppliers. Specific knowledge of Mining process requirements is a plus. Must have experience presenting, applying manufacturing automation technology to solving manufacturing problems. Must have excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills. Must have demonstrated "consulting" experience and solution selling skills. Should have good tenacity / follow-through and demonstrated organization / prioritization skills.

Minimum Education Requirements: BS in Engineering or Comp Science + 8 years of related work experience or M.S. in Engineering or Comp Science + 6 years of related work experience
