Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin, Texas. 0-5% Travel is expected. Relocation assistance is available.
The Senior Software Specialist Test Engineer is a leadership position that provides direction to a team of software test engineers. The position works closely with the Test Manager and other team leads and Development Managers. The position will have the opportunity to succeed and prepare for a management role within the Technology organization, or to grow into other challenging roles.
Responsibilities include providing the technical leadership for the DeltaV System Test team. The successful candidate's specific duties include providing leadership for the following;
- Development of test strategies and test plans
- Building automated test systems, running tests and evaluating results
- Working with product development teams to resolve test findings
- Training and mentoring new test team members
- Developing new test processes and techniques
A minimum of 7 years of related experience is required. It is a plus if the candidate has 2 years of software test experience and/or experience with process automation system software (DeltaV or other DCS), a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Minimum Education Requirements: BS Engineering or Computer Science + 7 years experience or MS Engineering or Computer Science +6 years of work related experience is required.
