Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: Position can be located at any of the three major EPM divisions located in: Austin, TX, or Eden Prairie, MN, or Boulder, CO. Travel estimated at 25 to 30%, mainly domestic US. The basic function of this position is to provide functional and technical leadership in the design implementation and maintenance around the processes and technology for product configuration where Oracle and other systems are utilized.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the subject matter expert in product configurators such as Oracle Configurator Developer, Oracle Congifurator
- Have a strong working knowledge on Order Management and Manufacturing where there are touchpoints in product configuration
- Plan, lead and actively participate in design, congifuration and testing of Oracle Applications
- Support product configuration strategic initiatives as required
- Lead the problem resolution for Oracle Configuration modules
- Complete functional design and design review of Oracle Applications data conversions, interfaces, custom reporting, and custom applications
- Conduct specialized training programs - 'train the trainer' sessions
- Identify critical problems and escalate appropriately
- Participate in structured walk-through assessments at key project milestones
- Ensure standards compliance and provide knowledge for standards development and change
- Log, manage and resolve Oracle Support Service Requests (SR's)
- Support Oracle problem investigation and problem resolution
- Monitor business system performance through the use of metrics and statistic process control methods
- Ability to work within an outside of Emerson Process Management such as Emerson, offshore vendors, etc.
PROFESSIONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Communication skills: strong presentation / communication / facilitation skills (oral and written)
- Business process analysis and redesign experience: strong business analysis skills; process mapping; business process redesign and implementation
- Able to form, lead and disband cross-divisional / group teams effectively in a remote environment
- Systems implementation skills: requirements / process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configurations, testing, training, change management, support
- Ability to travel for face to face discussions
EDUCATION BS with a technical / business background (MIS, Engineering, Manufacturing, Order Management)
EXPERIENCE Minimum of 5 years of Oracle 11.5.9/10 technical and functional experience while working in the business area
