Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin, Texas and relocation assistance is available. Approximately 20% travel is expected.
The successful candidate's responsibilities include:
- Responsible for identifying and assessing IT related opportunities and issues related to the Emerson Process Management Oracle single global instance
- This candidate must then be able to develop and manage projects to address the indentified opportunities and issues
- Sample projects to be managed include: major upgrades to the software, group level Oracle implementations, 3rd party software implementations that integrate with Oracle and other projects as assigned
- The position will require the ability to plan and manage large, complex IT projects using internal and external resources and communicate status of those projects across the organization
- The candidate must also have a broad understanding of Oracle Applications and how it is implemented, administered, governed and used at Emerson Process Management
Skills and experience required:
- Bachelors Degree + 10 years of Oracle Applications experience and/or project management experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with all levels and functions within the organization
The IT Manager will demonstrate:
- 6-10 years of business-related experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business or related field
- Diversity of functional business experiences (i.e., Finance, Operations, Order Management, CRM)
- 5 years of experience with Oracle Applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven project management success
- Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies
- Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project
- Proven history of successful problem solving with a sense of urgency
- A self-starter requiring minimal guidance
- Ability to develop risk assessments and mitigating controls
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with users at all levels of the organization
- Strong team leadership skills
