Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin, TX. Approximately 5% travel is expected.

The Marketing Executive Administrative Assistant position is based at our division headquarters in Austin, Texas; relocation assistance is not available for this position. Approximately 5% travel is anticipated for this position.

As our Marketing Executive Administrative Assistant in the Services Marketing & Latin America groups, your responsibilities include specialized administrative tasks as assigned with limited supervision, reporting to two Vice Presidents.

Your skills, professionalism and attention to detail are needed to handle travel arrangements, meeting arrangements, phone coverage for two executives, and back-up phone coverage for other executives. The department budget, meeting presentation slides, and other projects are also your areas of expertise and responsibility.

The successful candidate will demonstrate prior experience and knowledge to support handling the following requirements:

  • 5 years of related experience overall, including at least 2 to 3 years of experience as a dedicated Executive Assistant.
  • Actively seek out and take on new responsibilities to help offload the Vice Presidents of Services Marketing & Latin America.
  • Organize and maintain accurate and thorough records and information for both officers.
  • Arrange, re-arrange, communicate and keep current with hectic domestic and international travel schedules for both Vice Presidents.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Emerson corporate and other divisions.
  • Demonstrate (or learn, if needed) a broad knowledge of division operations and policy (prior Emerson experience is preferred).
  • Handle sensitive information and situations tactfully and maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, and provide responsive and timely follow through.
  • Provide a professional presence in communications with all levels of employees throughout the company.
  • Work overtime as needed.

Candidate must be versatile, self-motivated, be highly organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
