Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Royersford, PA. Relocation assistance is not available. High School diploma and 5 or more years of related experience are required.

The candidate will participate in project controls improvements within the industry center. Responsibilities also include Managing office administrative activities as required based on day-to-day office needs.

Requires the ability to handle a high level of confidentiality. Requires attention to detail and good proofing skills. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a professional presence in communications with all levels of employees throughout the company. Requires a broad knowledge of office organization and operations. Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and Visio drawing package. Listens to and follows instructions. Very strong attention to detail is required, to ensure all information is captured in the new, standardized format. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written including proofreading and error checking ability. Candidate must be versatile, self-motivated, be highly organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently. Must be able to do math (percentages, addition, etc. for budgeting purposes). Some familiarity with validation practices would be a plus. Availability to work overtime as needed is required.

The successful candidate must:

  • Provide administrative support to engineers, project managers and industry sales development team as needed, including but not limited to: typing, filing, fax/copy; document retrieval etc. to support project schedules.
  • Perform specialized administrative tasks as assigned with limited supervision.
  • Manage and maintain Archive Project Files (both electronic and hardcopy).
  • Assist engineers in revision of documents and will be accountable for document control or supervision of document control.
  • Prepare and transmit project transmittals.
  • Assist Project Manager in tracking of project hours and financials.
  • Assist Project Manager in preparation of project reports.
  • Assure engineering team has proper supplies and equipment.
  • Provide administrative support & coordinating materials for Customer Visits.
  • Support project and office telephone and written correspondence.
  • Coordinate meeting arrangements.
  • Make travel arrangements, including air, lodging and rental car.
  • Complete, audit and submit expense reports.
  • Responsible for ordering & maintaining inventory of office supplies.
  • Responsible for tracking, maintaining and coordinating office assets including but not limited too, computer equipment and peripherals.
  • Support office and project shipping and mailings.
  • Coordinate meetings and support projects activities such as scheduling, resource, or personnel coordination. - The candidate must process a good understanding of office and project finances with experience with project accounting modules such as Oracle.
  • Support Project cost budget entry & revenue budget entry.
  • Process the ability to analyze project financial spreadsheets and reports so erroneous data can be corrected.
  • Project and Office activities will use Emerson Global Project Management Office processes.
