Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Austin, TX and relocation is not available. Travel expected to be between 0% to 2% of the job. Possible travel to Houston or Marshalltown, IA, but this is unlikely.

This position is responsible for the Accounts Payable process for the Instrument and Valve division of Emerson Process Management. This processing requires system maintenance, vouchering of vendor invoicing and expense reports, invoice problem resolution and month end close. Customer Service is a high priority including daily interfaces with vendors and employees. Month end requirements include review/clean up of match and hold reports, journal entries for accruals, and account analysis of AP trial balance. Other duties as required.

  • High School diploma plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
  • Good communication/customers service skills are very important along with good organizational skills and accurate data entry skills.
  • Microsoft Excel, Word and basic accounting skills.
  • Experience with Oracle is preferred.
