Brief Description of Duties / Minimum Requirements: This position is located in Royersford, PA and relocation assistance is available. Approximately 25-35 % travel is expected dependent upon project assignments.

The selected individual will have an opportunity to excel in a fast paced and dynamic project execution environment. You will leverage their software skills and experience to define client requirements, develop detailed designs, and implement the overall solution. You will work with an experienced team of consultants and software engineers to deliver Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions using both custom developed software applications and configured products. You will work with clients and sales team to define business needs and demonstrate our product and services capabilities. Your ability to provide leadership, quickly learn new skills and technologies, and work effectively at different levels within project teams, client organizations and sales will be key to your success. Interested in individuals with proven MES experience in one or more in the following systems (DMI Compliance Suite, Rockwell ProPack Data, Werum PAS-X, POMSnet, Camstar)

The successful candidate will:

  • Will be responsible for delivering Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and system integration solutions to clients primarily in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry
  • Work with an experienced team including sales engineers, consultants and software developers

  • Work effectively at different levels within project teams, client organizations and sales
  • Have proven MES experience, one or more of the following systems preferred (DMI Compliance Suite, Rockwell ProPack Data, Werum PAS-X, POMSnet)

The Lead Plant MES / Integration Engineer will be responsible for providing project & technical leadership in the following areas:

  • Define MES strategic vision and present this value message to client
  • Define solution architect that includes scope, sizing, system / operational requirements, integration/collaboration, project estimations and execution approach.
  • Lead/Mentor junior engineers
  • Define functional requirements through client interviews and documentation analysis
  • Develop detailed designs that meet client requirements
  • Develop documentation required for validated facilities
  • Provide leadership to implement and deliver overall MES and system integration solutions

The successful candidate will also demonstrate education and experience including the following:

  • 6 plus years of experience with requirements analysis, design definition and implementation of software solutions above the manufacturing floor (emphasis in biotech/pharmaceutical sites preferred)
  • 4 plus years of experience in a project leadership role
  • 2 plus years of operations experience in a life sciences plant
  • 2 plus years experience with integrating different plant floor / MES / ERP systems
  • 2 plus years experience in FDA regulated industry; knowledge of cGMP, 21 CFR part11 and validation
  • 2 plus years experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) package(s) (e.g. DMI Compliance Suite, Rockwell ProPack Data, Werum PAS-X, POMSnet)
  • 2 plus years providing mentorship to junior engineers
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel a minimum of 25 % dependent upon project assignments

Candidates with the following experience are encouraged to apply OR other areas of experience that would strongly benefit the candidate (we will train as needed in advanced software / MES product skills):

  • Training on Microsoft Windows network infrastructure, XML – XSLT, ASP, Web services, ADO.Net, OPC
  • 6 plus months experience using OSI products (e.g. PI, Datalink, ProcessBook, PI-Batch, RtReports, RtPortal, Interfaces)
  • 2 plus years experience using a RDBMS (SQL, triggers, stored procedures) Microsoft SQL is preferred
  • Batch plant operation experience
  • Solid MES product knowledge or software development experience
  • Strong desire to learn emerging software applications that enhance cutting edge processes
