Bettis was established in 1929 as an oil field supply house and manufacturers' representative. The company later evolved into a manufacturing organization, becoming a pioneer in the valve actuator business. Dantorque, founded in 1989, is best known for its subsea actuators. Dantorque's Helical Spline product line provides a unique hydraulically-operated quarter-turn valve actuator with compact overall dimensions, reduced weight and simplicity of design. The balanced, concentric design applies no side/bending forces on the actuator's valve stem, promoting reliable performance. The Helical Spline actuators are available as double-acting or spring-return. Output torque ranges up to 4,000,000 lb-in. (404,000 Nm) with operating pressures to 3,000 psi (207 bar). The product is ideal for offshore oil and gas applications including subsea, splash zone, and topside, as well as for general marine applications.
